1. Acceptance

By accessing or using guidewatr.com ("GuideWatr," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

2. What GuideWatr Is

GuideWatr is a directory of fishing guides and charters in the United States. Listings are created from public data sources and may be claimed and edited by the business operator. We are not a booking agent — any transaction you make with a fishing guide is between you and the guide.

3. Listing Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to keep listings accurate but do not guarantee the accuracy of any information, including pricing, contact details, availability, or certifications. Claimed operators are responsible for their own listing content. If you find an error, email hello@guidewatr.com and we will correct or remove it within 24 hours.

4. Booking Engine

GuideWatr provides a booking engine that enables guest payments via Stripe. Payments are processed between the guest and the guide's Stripe account using Stripe Connect (destination charges). GuideWatr collects a 2% platform fee on each transaction. We do not hold funds, process refunds directly, or act as an escrow. Refund and cancellation policies are set by each guide.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to scrape, crawl, or programmatically extract data from GuideWatr for commercial purposes without written permission. You agree not to submit false claims, fake reviews, or spam through any form on the site.

6. Intellectual Property

Hotlinked images on guide listings are sourced from the guide's own website and remain the property of the guide. All other site content, including editorial articles, market reports, and site design, is copyright GuideWatr.

7. Limitation of Liability

GuideWatr is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site, including but not limited to lost bookings, inaccurate listings, or payment disputes between guests and guides.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of GuideWatr after changes constitutes acceptance.
